Sustainable procurement

Reducing climate emissions from the supply chain and its materials is one of the most important common development efforts. We also pay attention to human rights and working conditions within the supply chain. The role of primary production and sustainable farming conditions, sourcing areas, the sustainability criteria for materials and the impacts of climate change and biodiversity on raw materials are also becoming increasingly important.

To ensure responsible procurement, we are improving the transparency and traceability of procurement. We choose responsible suppliers of raw materials and other materials. To promote sustainability in our industry, we seek to cooperate closely with them. We use local suppliers as far as possible.

It is important to us that the raw materials and packaging materials we use, as well as the products made from the raw materials, meet the demands and expectations of our customers and consumers. The quality of raw materials from approved suppliers is always ensured.

The Group-wide procurement principles and operating models are defined in our procurement policy. At the end of 2022, Olvi Group had 313 suppliers of raw materials and packaging materials. Olvi Group regularly audits its suppliers, and corrective actions are required when necessary.

Our partners commit to compliance with our ethical operating methods. Our Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Partners is based on the Group’s Code of Conduct. By the end of 2022, the Code of Conduct had been signed by 97,2 % of our contract partners for raw materials and packaging materials.
